Why this, and not another app?

Shopify has thousands of apps. Most of them are dashboards that summarize the past. Dashprep is about the next 45 minutes — the stretch between a customer clicking "place order" and someone physically finishing their item.

We noticed that most "order management" tools either try to replace Shopify (bad idea, Shopify is already fantastic) or try to be a kitchen display system (also a dead end — restaurants have different needs). Dashprep sits in the gap: a Shopify-native tool for teams that make physical things on demand.

We use Dashprep ourselves. Our own operations team — spread across a commissary kitchen, a shipping warehouse, and a floating retail pop-up — runs the whole business off it. If it's not fast enough or clear enough for us, we don't ship it.
